As we move into the colder months, we are making large batches of this winter drink!

Assists with the symptoms associated with colds and the flu, but also beneficial for sore throats and even fevers.

Juice of one lemon

Grated or finely chopped rind of 1/2 lemon

2 cloves garlic- chopped

one slice ginger (or a tsp dried ginger)

pinch of cayenne

1 tbsp honey

Add all ingredients to a teapot and fill with boiling water. Let the flavours infuse for at least 2 minutes before drinking. Take several times per day, swirling the teapot to mix up the ingredients before pouring another cup of wellness!

Alliin is the main active ingredient contributing to garlic’ sugar antimicrobial and antioxidant activity. It has been used since ancient times for respiratory distress and antiseptic activities. Ginger is a warming, stimulating herb, similar to cayenne. These assist in the detox of the body as you move towards wellness and out of the cold/flu prison!
